I have seen a lot of word art online and in stores recently, it seems to be really popular right now, and I think a lot of it is really fun. Our basement is movie / vintage movie theatre themed and I wanted some art that was not just a moive poster to go on the wall. S I thought that some word art of movie quotes would be great.
I had never tried to paint so many words on something like this before so it was a learning process on how to make one of these.First I printed out all of the quotes that I wanted in various fonts. I taped these to the canvas while it was still in its wrapping to plot out how all of the quotes would fit. Then I took the wrapping off and painted the canvas.
After a few coats I taped fabric transfer paper onto the canvas. Then placed the quote on top of this. Then using an embossing tool I traced over the out line of all of the quotes on the typing.
When I took it off it looked like this.
Then I painted over the quotes. After 3 coats of the white I wiped off any of the extra transfer lines which came right off with a little water.
Then we have the final product.
